Apogee accelerates innovation for a second year at Mercedes-Benz World!

On 24th May 2023, 86 special guests attended Apogee’s second Accelerate Your Innovation event at Mercedes-Benz World.

Complete with an exclusive driving experience in a Mercedes 63AMG, guests of Accelerate Your Innovation: Lap 02 gained a valuable head-start for the future of their businesses.

Designed to create awareness of tech challenges facing businesses today – and how to overcome them – the Accelerate event provided insights from experts in cybersecurity, the future of work, sustainable digital transformation, and a live demonstration with an ethical hacker.

Kicking off with addresses from Aurelio Maruggi, CEO, and Carl Day, Chief Sales Officer; guests were directed around five ‘pit-stops’ – which, as well as the drivers’ lounge, included:

- The Future of Work, led by Jordi Padros of HP Inc. This session explored the ‘employee-employer disconnect’ – i.e., how businesses are impacted by shifting employee expectations, and how service models favouring individual customisability are bridging the gap.

Building a blueprint to keep your workspace secure, which was led by Alex Woerndle of cybersecurity consultancy MyEmpire. This covered the real-life impact cyberattacks can have on a business, and preventative measures guests could take to keep their workforces secure.

- Work Smarter, Work Safer, hosted by Dom Gryszan and Sam Procter of Apogee, who shared recent research, and outlined how businesses can maximise financial efficiencies, enhance customer experience, and achieve sustainability goals with Managed Workplace Services.

- Ethical Hacker – A Live Demonstration, presented by Glenn Wilkinson, security expert - who showed guests just how quickly gaps in cybersecurity can be exploited and capitalised upon.

Many thanks to our partners for making this event possible – HP Inc., ToshibaRicoh, and Poly / Samsung.
