Apogee Supporting the NHS and New Nightingale Hospitals

The build of what is now the world’s largest critical care facility at NHS Nightingale, in London’s Docklands is a fantastic achievement in challenging times.

 

Going from an idea to a fully operational hospital in less than a fortnight, the transformation was made possible because of the expertise of all those involved, including Apogee employees.

Within 24 hours of receiving the requirements for the new Nightingale hospital, our people were delivering and installing new print and document technology into the ExCel Centre site in London, building on the proven managed print service model we already provide at Barts NHS Trust and many other hospitals in London and across the UK.

An incredible speed of response which was achieved by employees in logistics, workshop, service, project and account management rapidly collaborating to source, configure, deliver and install the new print and document technology the NHS Nightingale hospital will rely upon.

Our team currently supporting University Hospital Birmingham are now preparing to support the new Birmingham Nightingale hospital with new technology, and we are working with the planners for all the new field sites opening across the UK.

Apogee people continue to do amazing work, keeping many emergency services including NHS hospitals and health trusts running. We have employees on-site operating in challenging conditions under stringent safety protocols, supporting their technology as demand for healthcare grows daily through the pandemic. Feedback from hospitals nationwide has been that our service engineers and the account managers supporting them are doing a tremendous job, with phenomenal speed of response when they are needed.

Obviously during this outbreak it is absolutely critical that we support the NHS and emergency services so they can fulfil their duties to curtail this pandemic, and we are prioritising these organisations in our BCP planning.

We would like to thank the amazing effort from individuals across many parts of our business, other industries and every member of the NHS who have made this project possible and continue to fight this pandemic every day. There are many more of you also doing a fantastic job in other NHS hospitals and we as a business are very grateful and proud of the work you are doing.
